CLAIRE OSBORNE
|
Claire will be teaching Explorations in Prana: A combination of asana, movement and explorations in breath.
Bring movement, freedom, openess and ease into the key parts of the body that draw in the breath: chest, ribs and diaphragm. Experience the inward and outward flow of breath, finding new spaces and directions for it to flow into. Meditate on the NAdis (energy channels) to experience Prana traveling throughout the whole body, through every cell. Experience breath, prana (the life force), in a way you never have before. Claire will base this workshop on her 25 years of experience with traditional styles of Hatha and Tantra yoga, Yoga Therapy, and contemporary yoga practices, as well as her background in Amerta movement and experiential anatomy. Claire Osborne has been practicing yoga for 25 years, and teaching since 2001. Her light-hearted, compassionate and creative style of teaching is is a blend of traditional yoga practices and contemporary explorations, influenced by her background in movement and love of deeply healing practices such as Nidra and restorative yoga. She sees yoga as a path to awareness, transformation, healing and coming home. She is a fully trained Yoga Therapist and is on the supervision team at Yoga Campus's Yoga Therapy training Diploma in London. She also has a background in Mindful Movement and dance. KENNY DREAD - KIRTAN

"Kenny Dread leads Kirtan singing with sensitivity, love and open heart." - Bella Hancock/An Sanctoir
Kirtan is call and response singing inspired by the devotional chants of India. Beautiful melodies, easy-to-repeat Sanskrit lyrics, and atmospheric musical accompaniment create an experience of spirit and bliss. Everyone sings, everyone joins in! Kenny Dread's early years on the American punk rock scene had a uniquely spiritual flavor: He toured as a guitarist with the legendary Rastafari punk/reggae shaman (and recent Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Nominee) H.R. of Bad Brains. Embracing kirtan practice for many years, Kenny has performed with kirtan pioneers Bhagavan Das, Dave Stringer, Devi 2000 and Natanjali. He has led kirtan at Bantry Yoga Festival, The Yoga Loft, Cork Movement Center, An Sanctoir, Devi Yoga Studio, Kripalu Yoga Center, Moksha Yoga Chicago, and BhaktiFest USA.
